I don’t know about you, but for me bling rings are the finishing touch to my ultimate summer outfit.
By the time summer rolls around in London…i.e. that small window of opportunity somewhere mid Wimbledon fortnight, you are so on point with your prep the only thing you need to figure out are the finishing touches.
You’ve been reading missives from magazine editors for the past 2 months, making notes on ‘the’ bikini of the season, purchasing that all important cover up and figuring out whether it’s a raffia tote or an ikat rucksack kind of summer. You’ve planned the pants off your summer capsule wardrobe, and quite frankly, there’s only the bling ring left to think about.
For me, the perfect bling ring has just enough bedazzling to catch your eye, is chunky enough to ensure you pay it due respect whilst wearing it (for fear of taking out someone’s eye), and is not priced out of the ball park – as we all know you need to save your pennies for those cocktails when the sun goes down.
So here’s my wish list this week.
First up say hello to the Mario Testino for MATE by Vickibeamon gold plated swarovski crysta and pompom ring. Anything ‘Mario Testino’ has got to be good, and with 20% of each sale going to the photographer’s Lima based charity – what’s not to love about this baby.
Next up the Shourouk Mila triple chain link ring. I kind of like the idea of this 3 in 1 ring – more bang for your buck mentality kicking in I think.
The Chloe Bettina embellished resin ring has a sleek modern vibe and an even slinkier price tag.
I love the two stone rings that are in store right now. This ASOS Ottoman hands one has a nice mix of summer turquoise vibe, mashed up with the earthier fall tones, so will segue nicely to next season.
Topshop are always a winner when it comes to bling on a budget. Take a peek at this great stone dome ring.
Finally this cute Pinata Park Ring from Kate Spade has all my favourite summer bright hues in one place.
